biz4Biz – a local voice for Hertfordshire business people

biz4Biz is the network for like-minded business owners, entrepreneurs, senior executives and forward-thinking professionals in and around Hertfordshire, providing a platform for members to share their ideas and concerns, and for the organic exchange of information and support between businesses of all ages, shapes and sizes.

biz4Biz aims to influence and shape policy making and encourage investment in Hertfordshire by engaging with local and central government, relevant public sector bodies and local organisations to promote the region as a great place to live and do business. biz4Biz began its life inStevenage to provide a coherent voice for businesses in the town, but has broadened its activities to represent the interests of businesses and people throughout Hertfordshire.  Its networking, local government liaison and charitable involvement operations aim to benefit the residents, commuters, workers and business owners who contribute to Hertfordshire life.

biz4Biz attends meetings of the Stevenage Business Forum and the Herts LEP, as Adrian Hawkins – one of the founders of biz4Biz – observes, ‘has been warmly welcomed as the voice of SMEs in and around the town and county’.

Having arranged a series of briefings by leading economists, industrialists and politicians, biz4Biz has continued to deliver excellent speakers with informed topical debate at convenient locations with high levels of attendance.

biz4Biz is now represented by its patron, Stephen McPartland MP for Stevenage, and is pleased to be supporting for the third year in succession, the Hertfordshire Business Awards event with contributions from notable local companies such as BBW Solicitors, the professional legal services firm with branches across Hertfordshire; Weldability SIF, the Letchworth-based welding consumable brand originally established in 1925; and George Hay, the chartered accountants firm based in Herts, Beds and Bucks, that offers audit and accountancy services on a personal basis, with London expertise. At the event, Stephen McPartland MP will be presenting The Hertfordshire Business Award for the Best New Business, on behalf of biz4Biz which has sponsored this award.
