New Welwyn Garden City store backs centenary plans
A new store has opened in Welwyn Garden City and pledged to support plans for the town’s centenary in 2020.
The Dulux Decorator Centre in Bessemer Road was officially unveiled this week, with help from the famous Dulux Dog, and will provide decorating items and advice.
Members of the Welwyn Garden City Centenary Foundation were among those present, and the store has promised to help the group rejuvenate some of the town’s public areas ahead of the 2020 celebration.
Foundation committee member, Dr Malcolm Day, said the group was “extremely grateful”, adding: “With this exciting event fast approaching, we’re looking forward to working with the team to add a splash of colour to the town and create a lasting legacy for our community.”
The WGC store’s assistant manager, Julie Lowman, said: “We’re looking forward to helping both the trade and public with painting and decorating projects.”
Dulux Decorator Centre joins a network of 198 stores nationwide.
