Altro Ltd won the Large Business of the Year Award in 2012
The judges said: “We were extremely impressed that in these lean times far from forgetting the importance of their people, Altro invest time money and resource to ensure they recruit and retain the right kind of people. Altro showed several examples of valuable training courses and they carry out regular staff surveys and showed where feedback had been acted upon – not just a tick box exercise! In terms of financial stability Altro spread their risk across several different geographies and know their niche market inside out.”
Tonia Millson, Organisational Development Director of Altro Ltd, said: “We are a family owned business and believe that our culture is critical to the success of the business. Our culture is based on family values and that our people are our biggest asset. Our people are committed, enthusiastic and believe in the company, and we spend a lot of time and effort to value them.”
